Stephen Sun is an educational architect/real estate developer turned 4th grade teacher at Conservatory Lab Charter School. After designing and rebuilding schools in 2010 post-earthquake Haiti, he began exploring the intersection of design and education at Harvard. During this time he became a Teaching Fellow for Dr. Linda Nathan’s class, “A320 – Building a Democratic School” and an adjunct professor of architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He is a finalist of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Hines Competition in 2016 and has ran numerous design workshops on improving school designs. He is also a co-founder of a real estate development software company at the Harvard Innovation Lab. Stephen started at Carnegie Mellon University, graduated from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, and completed a Master of Architecture II from Harvard Graduate School of Design.
